Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, because the service cannot function without them.
Local storage
We store your light or dark theme preference in your browser’s local storage under vouchrate-theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us.
Widgets on other sites
Our review widgets render inside a sandboxed iframe on the host page. The widget sets no cookies and cannot read the host page. If you are signed in to VouchRate, your session cookie is not sent to the widget, so a widget cannot identify you.
What we do not do
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No third-party analytics that profile you across sites.
- No fingerprinting for advertising. The device signals we use for fraud detection are hashed, retained for 13 months, and used only to detect coordinated review activity — see the privacy policy.
Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will prevent you signing in, but you can still read reviews.
