Rebuilt our booking system and actually explained the trade-offs

Needed a WordPress build migrated off a very old host with a lot of custom plugin work tangled into the theme. Apaxon quoted a fixed price, gave a date, and hit it. Where they found extra work they told us before doing it rather than after. The handover documentation is genuinely usable by our own team, which in my experience is rare.

Fixed a problem two other agencies had given up on

Intermittent checkout failure that only affected about 2% of orders, which made it almost impossible to reproduce. Two previous developers told us it was a payment provider issue and closed the ticket. Apaxon instrumented the flow, caught it within a fortnight — a race condition in our own inventory sync — and fixed it. Two per cent of orders is a lot of money over a year.

Answered the phone when our site went down on a Sunday

Hosting provider had an outage and our site was down mid-campaign. Not their fault and not their contract, but they picked up, moved us to a temporary host and had us back inside two hours on a Sunday afternoon. Invoiced for two hours at the normal rate, which they did not have to do at all.

Genuinely helpful even before we became a client

Spoke to them about a project that in the end we did not go ahead with. They spent an hour on a call working through it and told us honestly that what we wanted could be done with an off-the-shelf tool for a fraction of what a custom build would cost. That is not a sales call. When we do need custom work it will be them.
